FINAL!

Here is my final product for my "Watermelon Gun" and assorted weapons... I couldn't decide which green color scheme worked best. For the first picture, I chose brighter greens that I thought would work. For the second picture I actually took the greens (and pink) from an actual picture of a watermelon. I also filled in the "bullet holes" on the first picture. Although the difference is very subtle, which colors do you like best? :)

Watermelon Gun

Here are some of my sketches for the thought process behind creating a "watermelon gun". I referenced a few guns, including some super soakers. I also decided to carry this idea further and create a watermelon bomb, grenade and even 'bullet' hole. Final coming soon...

Alice ART

I saw Alice in Wonderland 3D yesterday. Aside from a basic, predictable plot, I truly enjoyed the ART in this film. As a whole, I thought the film was "good", not "great" as I had anticipated. Yet, I am intrigued by Tim Burton's unique style. From the elaborate costumes to creative set design, I was in awe of how much detail went into every aspect of this film. Johnny Depp as the MadHatter was most definitely my favorite character. He brings something unique and quirky to his character, along with that human aspect... Cannot wait to see what Tim Burton and Johnny Depp create next. :)

Organic Technology

Here it is... My final for the FUTURE computer art project. This piece is called "Organic Technology". The grapes act as an organic natural form, contrasting to the technological, geometric items that were added. At first glance, you might just see grapes and vines... but after really looking at the details, you start to notice the subtle hints of technology. It took a lot of work to piece all of the different pictures together, while making sure that the natural form of the fruit was still present... but I am fairly happy with my result. :)

Worth1000 & Johnny Depp

One of my favorite websites is worth1000.com. It is a place where a community of people can share and show off their amazing Photoshop, photo-editing skills... it's a contest. I can spend hours browsing through the galleries that they offer... looking at photoshop pictures that involve some of the craziest and most creative ideas I have ever seen. Definitely check this website out! I chose a couple of Johnny Depp inspired art pieces... Truly amazing! By the way, Johnny Depp is my favorite actor... but we'll talk all about him in another post because I have way to much to say. :)
